The Orleans Nordic Ski Club’s qualified instructors follow the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructor learn-to-ski program and have all been involved in the Cross Country Canada program for children. Known as the Bunny Rabbit and Jack Rabbit program and Track Attack for the more advanced.

Registration with the Club entitles you to participate in our programs.  All the Club’s programs run Saturday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am from the Eric Danis Clubhouse at the Hornet’s Nest Soccer Fields. The season runs from the beginning of January until March Break, as conditions permit.

Youth 1 : (similar to CCC Bunnyrabbit)
Specifically for 5 year old kids, this program introduces youngsters to cross country skiing. The program is based on skill development in an atmosphere of fun and games on snow … and on skis, of course.

Youth 2: (similar to CCC Jackrabbit)
The core program of the Club. A learn to ski, progression development program for youth 6 -14. Learn to ski, refine your skills and ski longer/faster.

The Club offers classes at various skill levels – introduction to skiing, lessons for those who may have skied before but have never taken a lesson, and more advanced for refining technique.
Many of our adults are beginner skiers; why not join an adult class at the same time as your children?

ADULT TOURING CLASS on Sunday mornings at 10 am in the Gatineau Park. A minimum of 4 skiers maximum 10 required to run this program for those who already know how to ski modestly well but who want a little more challenge.  Each session will be a combination lesson/tour.
